Mikey's
Bio
Mikey is originally from the Pacific Northwest. He discovered glassblowing as a teenager and was immediately inspired to pursue a career in the glass arts. He moved to Seattle, WA where he has worked as a production glassblower, lead gaffer, artist assistant and glass instructor. He continues to live in Seattle where he makes his artwork out of his home studio.

Artist Statement
Mikey's work is an exploration of the optical qualities of glass. He strives to create nonfunctional vessels that capture and reflect light in unexpected ways. Through the manipulation of color, texture, and form, Mikey creates pieces that are visually captivating and evoke a sense of wonder. He is inspired by the unique properties of glass and the endless possibilities of its manipulation. Mikey's goal is to create pieces that are both visually stimulating and emotionally engaging.
